Jaguars ready for a new season

Bortles ready for a new beginning

After leading the league in interceptions last season, the Jacksonville Jaguars are confident that Blake Bortles will not lead in that category this season.  His work in the offseason has paid off as Bortles was named a team captain for offense which shows the trust the coaching staff has in his ability along with defensive team captain Paul Posluszny and special teams team captain Carson Tinker.

“three great picks. Those guys are well-deserving.,” Head Coach Gus Bradley said.

jaguars-2“Blake has really been self-improving,” general manager Dave Caldwell said. “He’s taken the bull by the horns in terms of how he goes about his business.  Hopefully, Blake will continue to improve and build. But he’s in a good stage in his development. And make no mistake, he’s still developing.”

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are coming into the game as favorites and under Mike McCarthy and Rodgers, the offense has been a work of art while Clay Matthews anchors a defense that ranked 12th last year…look for both to improve this season.

Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available for Sunday’s game as well as all your regular season games.  So grab yours today and help cheer on your Jacksonville Jaguars to victory!!

Fans and Pundits debate Bortles, Henne

Even though he was the 3rd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Chad Henne is still slotted as the starter for the 2014 Jaguars, not Blake Bortles.  Henne was picked up in the middle of the season when Blane Gibbert went down. Gibbert has since been traded to the San Francisco 49er’s and the coaching staff want to give Henne the opportunity to play a full season.  GM Dave Caldwell told ESPN’s Britt McHenry the same on his talk show.

“To be honest with you, probably 2015.  We’d like to give Chad this whole year and go with Chad this year.”

The Jaguars open the preseason against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 7th.  Plenty of great seats and cheap tickets remain!
